Removal

FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY

Refer to the procedure up to Remove Engine and Transmission Assembly.

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for 4GR-FSE) Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for 2GR-FSE) Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for 4GR-FSE) Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for 2GR-FSE) Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 4GR-FSE) Removal

7. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FSE) Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH (for 4GR-FSE) Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH (for 2GR-FSE) Removal

10. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH (for 4GR-FSE) Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR RH (for 2GR-FSE) Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER BAR

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and front stabilizer bar.





HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (6 mm) to hold the stud bolt.

13. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts, and separate the front lower suspension arm assembly LH.





14. SEPARATE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as the LH side.

15. REMOVE POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 washers, 2 nuts, 2 front suspension member brace plate and power steering link assembly from the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.





HINT
Remove the power steering link assembly together with the front lower suspension arm assembly.
