SLIDING ROOF / CONVERTIBLE: METALTOP ROOF: REMOVAL - Continued

88. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF PANEL STOPPER (for LH Side)

(a) Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the bolt and sliding roof panel stopper.





HINT
If the No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly is being replaced with a new one, make sure to keep the sliding roof panel stopper for reuse.

89. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF PANEL STOPPER (for RH Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

90. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH COVER LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the claw and guide remove the roof side inner garnish cover LH.

91. REMOVE REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the 4 screws and rear roof side rail garnish LH.





92. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH COVER RH

102. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

103. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Removal

104. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH Removal

105. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION TRIM (for LH Side)

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the 2 clips remove the room partition trim.

106. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOF PANEL STRENGTH SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.

(c) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts.





(d) Disconnect the connector.





(e) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.

(f) Remove the earth bolt.

(g) When the No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly is being replaced with a new one, if shims (shown in the illustration) were fitted to the old No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly, remove them and keep them for reuse.





(h) Remove the 4 bolts and No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly.

HINT
Keep the shims for the No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly.





107. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION TRIM (for RH Side)

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

108. REMOVE ROOF PANEL STRENGTH SUB-ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

109. REMOVE SLIDE ROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and slide roof motor assembly.

HINT
Keep the shims for the slide roof motor assembly.





110. REMOVE SLIDE ROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

111. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM BRACKET

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a clip remover, disengage the clamp.

(c) Remove the 4 nuts and package tray trim bracket.

HINT
Keep the shims for the package tray trim bracket.

112. DISCONNECT NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts.

(c) Using a clip remover, disengage the 3 claws and 4 clamps and separate the No. 1 luggage room wire.

113. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly.





114. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BRACKET (for LH Side)

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and deck side trim bracket.





115. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH

NOTICE:
The luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH is used as a measurement reference point for reassembly. Do not remove any nuts or bolts other than those specified.

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Remove the earth bolt (C).

(c) Remove the 2 bolts (B), 4 nuts (A) and luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH.

HINT
Keep the shims for the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH.

116. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BRACKET (for RH Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

117. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH

NOTICE:
The luggage compartment door hinge assembly RH is used as a measurement reference point for reassembly. Do not remove any nuts or bolts other than those specified.

(a) Remove the pin.





(b) Separate the push pull cable from the luggage compartment door lock assembly.





(c) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 clamps.





(d) Using a wrench, loosen the nut (A).





(e) Remove the earth bolt (B).

(f) Using a wrench, loosen the nut (C) and separate the push pull cable from the body.





(g) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(h) Remove the 2 bolts (B), 4 nuts (A) and luggage compartment door hinge assembly RH.

Keep the shims for the luggage compartment door hinge assembly RH.
