B2275 - STSW Monitor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when there is an open, short, or any other problem in the engine start request output circuit inside the power source control ECU or in the external circuit.

HINT
When the power source control ECU is replaced with a new one and the negative (-) battery terminal is connected, the power source mode becomes the IG-ON mode. When the battery is removed and reinstalled, the power source mode that was selected when the battery was removed is restored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Smart Access System With Push-Button Start (for Start Function).

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) After 15 seconds have elapsed, check if the trouble occurs again.

OK:

DTC B2275 is not output.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - ECM)

OK -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the J55 connector from the power source control ECU.





(b) Disconnect the A5 connector from the ECM.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU - ECM)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU

(a) Reconnect the J55 connector to the power source control ECU.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU

OK -- REPLACE ECM Removal
