THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM: TERMINALS OF ECU
1. CHECK ENGINE SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the J31 engine switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the J31 engine switch connector.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
HINT
*: Remove the key battery before performing this inspection.
* If the result is not as specified, the engine switch may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.
(1) Waveform 1 (Reference)

2. CHECK CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the P33 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the P33 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.
(d) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

*: Remove the key battery before performing this inspection.
* If the result is not as specified, the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

3. CHECK ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU)
(a) Disconnect the J69 ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the J69 ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) connector.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, the ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.
(1) Waveform 1 (Reference)
(2) Waveform 2 (Reference)
4. CHECK STEERING LOCK ECU
(a) Disconnect the J29 steering lock ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
5. CHECK POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU
(a) Disconnect the J55 power source control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
6. CHECK ECM
(a) Disconnect the E6 ECM connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the E6 ECM connector.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
If the result is not as specified, the ECM may have a malfunction.
(e) Inspect using an oscilloscope.

(2) Waveform 2 (Reference)
7. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU RH (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH)
(a) Disconnect the RD and RM junction block connectors.
(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.
(c) Reconnect the RD and RM junction block connectors.
(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
* If the result is not as specified, the main body ECU RH (cowl side junction block RH) may have a malfunction.
