PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM: SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. GENERAL

(a) This system uses ultrasonic sensors to detect any obstacles at the corners and the rear of the vehicle. The system then informs the driver of the distance between the sensors and the obstacles as well as their positions by indicating them on the multi-display or multi-information display and by sounding a buzzer.

3. OPERATION EXPLANATION

(a) The operating condition of each intuitive parking assist sensor differs according to the installation position as shown in the table bellow.





(b) The intuitive parking assist sensor then informs the driver of the distance between the sensors and the obstacles as well as their positions by displaying them on the multi-information display in the combination meter or display and navigation module display and by sounding buzzer.
