MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(c) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(d) Inspect outer mirror retractable operation*.

*: w/o Occupant Classification System





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





NOTICE:
* Disconnect and reconnect the battery between each mirror position check.
* Do not apply battery voltage when moving the mirror by hand into each mirror position.

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Inspect outer mirror motor operation.





(1) Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly.

(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table below.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(c) Inspect electrochromic outer mirror operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assembly.

(d) Inspect outer mirror retractable operation*.

(1) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror face as shown in the table and illustration.

Standard:





NOTICE:
