AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: FRONT AXLE HUB: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily install the front axle hub sub-assembly and front disc brake dust cover with the 4 bolts.





NOTICE:
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter between the steering knuckle and front disc brake dust cover.
* Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter between the front disc brake dust cover and front axle hub sub-assembly.

(b) Using SST and a socket wrench (17 mm), fully tighten the 4 bolts.





SST : 09961-00950

without SST - Torque : 69 Nm (700 kgf-cm, 51 ft-lbf)

with SST - Torque : 51 Nm (517 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 425 mm (16.73 in.).
* This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.

2. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS Front Axle Hub

3. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT Front Axle Hub

4. INSTALL FRONT DISC Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Installation

6. CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR WIRE Installation

7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

8. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
