CAUTIONARY POINTS WHEN REPLACING THE ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
There is an Ultrasonic Sensor adopted for use on the LEXUS LS installed on the front and rear bumper covers, but these sensors are attached to the bumper covers using a retainer.
These retainers must be replaced when they are damaged such as during a collision.
These retainers are attached using adhesive so if the correct work procedure is not used, there is a possibility that they will fall off while the vehicle is in motion causing the vehicle to lose this function. Also, if the attachment locations are not aligned in the middle of the diameter of the holes, it will take away from the appearance quality and damage the surrounding area.
