DESCRIPTION

The front door ECU RH receives front door closer RH signals, and activates the front door closer motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check the power door lock control function Operation Check.

OK:

Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Service Precautions
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR ECU - FRONT DOOR CLOSER)

(a) Disconnect the N2 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the N7 closer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH)

(a) Remove the front door with lock motor RH Removal.





(b) Set the door closer to the half-latch position.

(c) Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT DOOR ECU RH (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the front door ECU RH with a new or normally functioning front door ECU RH Components.

(b) Check the door closer operation.

OK:

Door closer operation normal.

NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER RH) Removal

OK -- END (FRONT DOOR ECU RH IS DEFECTIVE)
