DESCRIPTION

The rear door ECU RH receives rear door closer RH signals, and activates the rear door closer motor RH.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check the power door lock control function Operation Check.

OK:

Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Service Precautions
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR ECU - REAR DOOR CLOSER)





(a) Disconnect the O4 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the O9 closer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (REAR DOOR CLOSER RH)

(a) Remove the rear door lock RH Removal.





(b) Set the door closer to the half-latch position.

(c) Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (REAR DOOR CLOSER RH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK REAR DOOR ECU RH (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the rear door ECU RH with a new or normally functioning rear door ECU RH Components.

(b) Check the door closer operation.

OK:

Door closer operation normal.

NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (REAR DOOR CLOSER RH) Removal

OK -- END (REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH IS DEFECTIVE)
