Reassembly

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: REASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

NOTICE:
If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH

(a) Attach the wire harness clamps and connect the connectors to install the seat wire.

(b) Install the bolt.

Torque : 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR Installation

3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

NOTICE:
* If replacing the ECU, replace the front seat set (cushion assembly, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).
* If the occupant classification ECU has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.

(a) Install the occupant classification ECU with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 3.0 Nm (31 kgf-cm, 27 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the climate control blower with the 2 bolts.

(b) Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamps.

(c) Attach the 4 claws to connect the climate control air duct.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR FILTER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Rotate the air filter clockwise to attach the 4 claws to install it.

6. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the climate control ECU with the 2 bolts.

(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEAT TRAVEL LINK

HINT
Use the same procedures described for the front No. 2 seat travel link.

8. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT TRAVEL LINK

(a) Install the seat travel link with the bolt.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

9. INSTALL NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION PLATE

(a) Install the seat cushion plate with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING

(a) Install the spring.

HINT
Use the same procedure to install the spring on the other side.

11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LOWER

(a) Install the cushion shield lower with the 4 nuts.

12. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover with the screw.

13. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Attach the wire harness clamp to the reclining adjuster inside cover.

(b) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover with the screw.

14. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 4 clamps to install the lumbar support adjuster.

(b) for Driver Side:

Install the 2 motors with the 4 bolts.

(c) for Front Passenger Side:

Install the motor with the 2 bolts.

15. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (BACK SIDE) (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) w/ Lumbar Support Adjuster:

Install the climate control controller with the 2 screws.

(b) w/o Lumbar Support Adjuster:

Install the climate control controller to the seatback frame.

16. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK FRAME ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily install the seatback frame with the 4 bolts.

(b) Push the seatback frame towards the rear, and tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque : 43 Nm (439 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the connectors and attach the wire harness clamps.

17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws.

(b) Install the headrest adjuster with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

(d) Attach the 2 hooks.

(e) Install the dynamic damper frame with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Retractable Headrest)

(a) Install the headrest stay cover with the 2 screws.

(b) Attach the 2 claws to install the cable.

(d) Attach the 2 claws to install the headrest adjuster.

(e) Install the 4 bolts and 2 screws.

for bolt - Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST BRACKET

(a) Attach the wire harness clamp to install the bracket to the active headrest inflator.

20. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST INFLATOR Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT NO. 5 SEAT SET BRACKET RH (except 5-Passenger with Ottoman)

(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the bracket.

(b) Install the 2 screws.

22. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

23. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Attach the hooks.

(b) Attach the 4 clips to install the seatback cover with pad.

(c) Attach the seatback cover bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

24. INSTALL POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH (except 5-Passenger with Ottoman)

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the power seat switch.

(b) Connect the connector.

25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 headrest supports.

26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the headrest with the 2 pins.

NOTICE:
When replacing a deployed active headrest inflator, always replace it together with the headrest.

(b) w/ Retractable Headrest:

Install the headrest.

27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
* As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion assembly cannot be disassembled.
* If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the front seat set (cushion assembly, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).

28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

NOTICE:
* As the front passenger side seat has an occupant classification system, its front seat cushion assembly cannot be disassembled.
* If replacing the front passenger side seat, replace the front seat set (cushion assembly, occupant classification ECU and 2 nuts).

(a) Install the seat cushion frame with the 4 clips.

(b) Attach the hooks.

29. INSTALL SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (CUSHION SIDE) (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Install the climate control controller with the 2 screws.

30. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the seat cushion assembly with the 4 bolts and attach the hook.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(b) for Front Passenger Side:

Connect the connector.

(c) Install the 3 clips.

(d) w/ Climate Control Seat System:

(1) Attach the 4 claws to connect the climate control duct.

(2) Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

(3) Connect the 2 connectors and attach the wire harness clamp.

(4) Connect the duct of the climate control blower and install the 3 screws.

(5) Attach the 2 claws to install the air duct.

31. INSTALL NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the interior illumination light with the screw.

32. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

(b) Attach the 2 hooks to install the seatback board.

(c) Install the 2 screws.

33. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH

(a) Attach the claw to install the cushion shield inner.

(b) Install the 3 screws.

34. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

35. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Install the cushion shield with the 4 screws.

36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER LH

(a) Install the hinge cover with the 2 screws.

37. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 SEAT SHIELD SET BRACKET

(a) Install the bracket with the 2 screws.

38. INSTALL POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the position control ECU and switch with the 4 screws.

39. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Connect the 2 connectors.

(b) Attach the 2 claws in the order shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the cushion shield with the 3 screws.

(d) Attach the rubber band of the front seatback board to the seat adjuster.
