SEAT: REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman): REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
HINT
* for Power Seat:
Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat 37 mm (1.46 in.) from the rearmost position.
* for Ottoman:
Before removing the rear seat, make sure to move the seat 17 mm (0.67 in.) from the rearmost position
1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER Removal
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the rear seat adjuster.
NOTICE:
* If the areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (A) are not lifted straight up, the cushion spring may become deformed.
* When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.
Specification:
(b) Detach the rear hook of the seat cushion from the rear seatback frame and remove the seat cushion.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Operate the ottoman switch to move the ottoman to the return position.
(b) Remove the 2 clips.
(c) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the seat cushion ottoman part.
(d) Lift the corners of the rear seat cushion assembly RH to disconnect the 2 rear seat cushion lock hooks.
NOTICE:
* If the areas close to the insertion location of the rear seat cushion lock hooks (cushion assembly corners) are not lifted straight up, the cushion spring may become deformed.
* When lifting the rear seat cushion assembly, lift it quickly so that force is applied directly to the hooks. Do not lift it slowly.
(e) Detach the rear hook of the seat cushion from the rear seat adjuster and remove the seat cushion.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(f) Disconnect the connector.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
(b) Detach the wire harness clamps and disconnect the connector.
(c) Remove the 3 bolts and rear seat cushion airbag.
5. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)
(a) Detach the front hook of the center seat cushion from the vehicle body.
NOTICE:
The cushion frame deforms easily. To avoid deforming the seat cushion, place your hands near the hook, and then pull up on the seat cushion.
(b) Detach the rear hook of the center seat cushion from the center seatback frame and remove the center seat cushion.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt.
(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(c) Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.
(d) Remove the bolt and pull out the junction block.
(e) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(f) Detach the 7 wire harness clamps and disconnect the 3 connectors.
(g) Detach the pieces of fastening tape and using a clip remover, detach the clip.
(h) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
(i) Disconnect the seatback from the seatback adjuster, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CONSOLE BOX (w/ Rear Console Box) Removal
8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type belt.
(b) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(c) Remove the seat belt from the shoulder belt guide.
(d) Remove the bolt and pull out the junction block.
(e) Disconnect the 3 connectors.
(f) Detach the 6 wire harness clamps and disconnect the 3 connectors.
(g) Remove the nut and detach the 2 claws and disconnect the air hose.
(h) Detach the pieces of fastening tape and using a clip remover, detach the clip.
(i) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the air duct from the vehicle.
(j) Disconnect the seatback from the seatback adjuster, and lift the seatback upwards to remove it.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST ASSEMBLY (w/ Center Seat)
(a) Lower the center armrest.
(b) Raise the headrest.
(c) Detach the 2 clips.
(d) Detach the hook by lowering the rear seat armrest hole board and remove the hole board.
(e) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and center armrest.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(f) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
10. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) w/ Center Seat:
Remove the nut and disconnect the anchor part of the rear center seat outer belt.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts.
(c) Remove the nut and seat adjuster.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(d) Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
11. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts.
(b) Remove the nut and seat adjuster.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
(c) Disconnect the air duct from the vehicle body.
12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
13. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 4 nuts and seatback adjuster.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
