Ball Joint






Inspect No. 2 Suspension Front Lower Arm





Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.

Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the fifth turn.

Turning torque 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf)

If the result is not as specified, replace the front No. 2 suspension lower arm.

Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
