Applicability

Introduction

Some 2011-2012 model year LS 460 AWD vehicles may exhibit a front suspension noise described as a "spring pop" while driving slowly and turning the steering wheel to the left or right lock position.

New front left and right side coil spring assemblies are now available to address this condition. Follow the Repair procedure provided in this Service bulletin to replace the front left and right side coil spring assemblies.

Repair Procedure

1. Confirm the condition is present.

2. Remove and replace the front left and right side coil spring assemblies.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

^ 2011 LS 460:
Suspension - Front Suspension - Front Shock Absorber - "Suspension: Front Shock Absorber: Removal / Disassembly / Reassembly / Installation"

^ 2012 LS 460:
Suspension - Front Suspension - Front Shock Absorber - "Suspension: Front Shock Absorber: Removal / Disassembly / Reassembly / Installation"

3. Verify condition is no longer present.
