Removal





ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: REAR DOOR: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

4. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips.





(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for Long Body:





(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Using the clip remover, detach the 13 clips.

(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.





(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.

(b) for Standard Body:





(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Using the clip remover, detach the 11 clips.

(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.





(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)

(a) for Long Body:





(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Using the clip remover, detach the 14 clips.

(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.





(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.

(b) for Standard Body:





(1) Remove the 3 screws.

(2) Using the clip remover, detach the 12 clips.

(3) Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.





(4) Disconnect the connectors and remove the trim board.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Detach the claw, disconnect the connector and then remove the light.





8. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the courtesy light assembly.





9. REMOVE REAR SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

(a) Detach the 4 claws, disconnect the connector and then remove the seat memory switch.





10. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers) Removal

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Using a clip remover, detach the 5 clips and remove the trim cover.

12. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

(a) Detach the 2 clips.





(b) Detach the claws and the door frame garnish.

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 3 WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the rear door No. 3 weatherstrip LH.





14. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 FRAME GARNISH LH

(a) Detach the claws and remove the frame garnish.





15. REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Detach the clip and remove the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip LH.

16. REMOVE REAR LH CURTAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)

(a) for Long Body:

(1) Remove the 10 screws.





(2) Detach the 4 clips, disconnect the connector and then remove the curtain.

(b) for Standard Body:

(1) Remove the 10 screws.





(2) Detach the 3 clips, disconnect the connector and then remove the curtain.

17. REMOVE NO. 1 AUTO CURTAIN RAIL BRACKET LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)

(a) Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the curtain rail bracket.





18. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOARD COVER REAR LH (w/ Rear Door Sunshade)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and side window cover.





19. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP INNER LH

(a) for Long Body:

(1) Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow.





(b) for Standard Body:

(1) Remove the weatherstrip inner by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow.





20. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

21. REMOVE REAR DOOR SPEAKER COVER

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 3 screws and rear door speaker cover.

22. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 19 Speakers) Removal

23. REMOVE REAR DOOR ECU LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECU.





(b) Disconnect the 3 connectors.

24. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

(a) Remove the service hole cover.





25. REMOVE REAR DOOR DIVISION BAR BRACKET LOWER LH

(a) Remove the 3 nuts and division bar bracket.





26. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 2 nuts.





(b) Remove the division bar assembly together with the glass run.

27. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH

(a) Remove the rear door glass run from the division bar assembly.

28. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH

(a) Remove the rear door quarter window glass and rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.





29. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the hole plug.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts.





NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

(c) Remove the door glass.

HINT
Remove the glass upward.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the glass.

30. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING UPPER LH

(a) for Standard Body:

(1) Remove the rear door window frame moulding upper .

(b) for Long Body:

(1) Remove the rear door window frame moulding upper .

31. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Loosen the 5 belt line screws indicated by the arrows in the illustration.





(c) Remove the 3 screws.

(d) Put protective tape around the rear belt moulding.





(e) While making sure not to pull the rear belt moulding away from the vehicle, rotate the rear belt moulding in the direction shown in the illustration and remove it.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the door panel when rotating the belt moulding.

HINT
The clip will break when the rear belt moulding is removed.

(f) Remove the remaining part of the clip from the body.

32. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY FRONT LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window guide sub-assembly front LH.

33. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and regulator.

NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.

34. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH REAR

(a) Using a T25 ''TORX'' driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.





NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.

35. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) w/o Door Closer:

(1) Disconnect the connector.





(2) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, remove the 3 screws and door lock.

NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.

HINT
Remove the door lock through the service hole.

(b) w/ Door Closer:

(1) Disconnect the connector.





(2) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, remove the 2 screws labeled B and 3 screws labeled A.

NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.

HINT
Remove the door lock through the service hole.

36. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL LH CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly.





37. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING LH CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly.





38. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH

(a) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, loosen the screw and remove the outside handle cover.





39. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.





(b) Disconnect the connector.





(c) Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

40. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT

(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the pad.





41. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD REAR

(a) Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.





42. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a T30 ''TORX'' socket, loosen the screw.





(b) Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the door No. 3 wire.





(c) Slide the outside handle frame and door No. 3 wire to remove it.

HINT
Remove the outside handle frame through the service hole.

(d) Remove the lock open rod from the outside handle frame.

43. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 3 WIRE

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the 2 clips, and remove the door No. 3 wire from the frame.

44. REMOVE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for Rear Door)

(a) Remove the screw and door electrical key oscillator.

45. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Detach the 18 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.

46. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the cover.





(b) Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and door check.

HINT
Remove the door check through the service hole.

NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the bolts as the door check may fall and become damaged.

47. REMOVE REAR DOOR WIRE LH

(a) Disconnect the wire clips.

(b) Remove the door wire.
