DESCRIPTION

The front door ECU LH receives front door closer LH signals, and activates the front door closer motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION

(a) Check the power door lock control function Operation Check.

OK:

Each function of power door lock control system operates normally using master switch.

NG -- GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Service Precautions
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR ECU - FRONT DOOR CLOSER)

(a) Disconnect the N9 ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the N14 closer connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER LH)

(a) Remove the front door lock LH Removal.





(b) Set the door closer to the half-latch position.

(c) Apply battery voltage to the lock motor connector and check the closer operation.

OK:





NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER LH) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT DOOR ECU LH (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the front door ECU LH with a new or normally functioning front door ECU LH Components.

(b) Check the door closer operation.

OK:

Door closer operation normal.

NG -- REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH (FRONT DOOR CLOSER LH) Removal

OK -- END (FRONT DOOR ECU LH IS DEFECTIVE)
