SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Install the front seat assembly as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
* Make sure the seatback does not contact the shift lever knob.
* Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.

HINT
Install the seat assembly through the door frame so that it passes under the steering wheel.

(b) Connect the 5 connectors under the seat.

NOTICE:
Make sure the center pillar does not contact the power seat switch knob.





(c) Attach the wire harness clamp.

(d) Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

(e) Connect the cable to the battery negative terminal.

(f) Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

(g) Tighten the 2 bolts.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(h) Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the foremost position.

(i) Tighten the 2 bolts.





Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)

(j) Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Repair Instruction - Customize Parameters.

2. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the inner seat track bracket cover LH.





3. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the outer seat track bracket cover LH.





4. INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side with Ottoman)

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the outer seat track cover RH.





(b) Attach the 2 pieces of fastening tape.

5. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK COVER RH (for Front Passenger Side with Ottoman)

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the inner seat track cover RH.





(b) Attach the 2 pieces of fastening tape.

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the seat to the rearmost position.

(b) Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat inner track bracket cover LH.





7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat outer track bracket cover LH.





8. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the anchor part of the front seat outer belt with the bolt.

Torque : 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf)





(b) for Front Passenger Side:





Connect the connector.

(c) Insert the seat belt anchor cover cap in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install it.





(d) After installing the seat belt anchor cover cap, pull out the seat belt toward the front as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
When installing the seat belt anchor cover cap, the seat belt will get pushed in and shorten. Therefore, perform the above to return the seat belt to the proper position.

9. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Installation

10. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

(a) Perform initialization Repair Instruction - Initialization.

NOTICE:
Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

11. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.

12. CHECK FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the power seat operation Operation Check.

(b) w/ Climate Control Seat System:

Check the climate control seat system Operation Check.
