Installation

1UR-FSE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 16 mm plug wrench, install the 8 spark plugs.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Perform a visual inspection of the spark plug tube gasket.

Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the spark plug tube gasket.

(b) Slide the spark plug tube gasket onto the ignition coil as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the 8 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(e) Connect the 8 ignition coil connectors.

3. INSTALL NO. 6 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

(a) Install the No. 6 engine cover with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL NO. 5 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

(a) Install the No. 5 engine cover with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

5. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for AWD) Installation

6. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE

(a) Install the engine wire to the No. 1 relay block with the nut.

Torque : 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 clamps.

(c) Install the No. 1 relay block cover.

7. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

(a) Install the battery tray with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf)

8. INSTALL BATTERY

(a) Install the battery.

(b) Install the battery insulator.

(c) Install the battery clamp with the nut.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf)

(d) Connect the battery cable clamp.

(e) Connect the cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 47 in-lbf)

17. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER Installation

18. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
