Installation





SUSPENSION: FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER: INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily install the front suspension lower arm LH, and insert the camber adjusting cam from the rear of the vehicle.





(b) Install the No. 2 camber adjusting cam and temporarily install the nut.





HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

(c) Align the matchmarks of camber adjusting cam, No. 2 camber adjusting cam and front frame assembly.

2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Temporarily install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

3. TEMPORARILY INSTALL LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Connect the front shock absorber lower bracket to the front suspension lower arm LH.

(b) Align the protrusion of the front shock absorber upper bracket plate with the cutout of the front shock absorber lower bracket, and temporarily install the plate with the nut.





HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.

4. TEMPORARILY INSTALL LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Temporarily install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM LH

(a) Temporarily install the front No. 2 suspension lower arm LH, and insert the toe adjusting cam from the rear of the vehicle.

(b) Install the bolt, No. 2 toe adjusting plate and temporarily install the nut.

HINT
After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nut.





(c) Align the matchmarks of camber adjusting cam, No. 2 camber adjusting cam and front frame assembly.

(d) Connect the front suspension lower arm LH to the front lower ball joint with the nut.

Torque : 145 Nm (1479 kgf-cm, 107 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
If it is necessary to align the holes for the clips after installing the nuts, the nuts can be tightened up to 60° more.





(e) Install a new clip.

6. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM RH

HINT
Temporarily install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

7. INSTALL POWER STEERING LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the power steering link to the front frame with the 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts.





Torque : 150 Nm (1530 kgf-cm, 111 ft-lbf)

8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Install the front suspension member bracket with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

9. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front suspension member bracket with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

10. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR (w/o Active Stabilizer) Installation

11. TEMPORARILY INSTALL FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Active Stabilizer) Installation

12. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET LH

(a) Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket LH with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 95 Nm (969 kgf-cm, 70 ft-lbf)

13. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BRACKET RH

(a) Tighten the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket RH with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 95 Nm (969 kgf-cm, 70 ft-lbf)

14. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Install the front stabilizer link with the 2 nuts.





Torque : 85 Nm (867 kgf-cm, 63 ft-lbf)

HINT
If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.

15. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Install the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

18. CONNECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

19. CONNECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET LOWER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

20. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SHAFT LEVER Installation

21. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY Installation

22. INSTALL PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY Installation

23. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 2 STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY Installation

25. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

26. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

27. CONNECT HOSES AND CONNECTORS Installation

28. INSTALL WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR AND BRACKET Installation

29. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET RH

(a) Install the No. 2 front stabilizer bracket with the bolt.





Torque : 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)

30. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

31. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

32. CONNECT MOTOR CABLE Components

33. CONNECT GENERATOR CABLE Components

34. REMOVE INVERTER TERMINAL COVER Components

35. CONNECT NO. 3 FUEL HOSE Installation

36. CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL HOSE Installation

37. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Installation

38. INSTALL RESONATOR BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY Replacement

39. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

40. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

41. INSTALL OUTLET ENGINE ROOM ECM DUCT Installation

42. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY Installation

50. CONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER LH (w/ Active Stabilizer) Installation

51. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER Installation

52. CONNECT OUTLET OIL COOLER HOSE Installation

53. CONNECT INLET OIL COOLER HOSE Installation

54. ADD FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL Service and Repair

55. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

56. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP Installation

57. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL Installation

58. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation

59. TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY LH Installation

60. TIGHTEN FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Tighten the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

61. TIGHTEN LOWER FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

HINT
Tighten the RH side following the same procedures as the LH side.

63. TIGHTEN FRONT NO. 2 SUSPENSION LOWER ARM LH Installation

65. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

66. ADD COOLANT (for Inverter) Coolant (for Inverter)

67. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Inverter) Testing and Inspection

68. CHARGE REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

69. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL Procedures

70. INSPECT FOR SHIFT LEVER POSITION Adjustments

71. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK Installation

72. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

73. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK Fuel System

74. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

75. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK Installation

76. INSPECT IGNITION TIMING On-Vehicle Inspection

77. INSPECT ENGINE IDLE SPEED On-Vehicle Inspection

78. INSPECT CO/HC On-Vehicle Inspection

79. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

80. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT Installation

81. MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT Front Wheel Alignment

82. ADJUST OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA Adjustments

83. INSTALL FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR Installation

84. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation

85. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH Installation

86. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH Installation

87. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation

88. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER Installation

89. INSTALL INVERTER COVER ASSEMBLY LH Installation
