2UR-FSE IGNITION: IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG: INSTALLATION

NOTICE:
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.

1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

(a) Using a 16 mm plug wrench, install the 8 spark plugs.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Visual check the spark plug tube gasket.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the spark plug tube gasket.

(b) Slide the spark plug tube gasket onto the ignition coil as shown in the illustration.

(d) Install the 8 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(e) Connect the 8 ignition coil connectors.

6. INSTALL ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

7. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Installation

8. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU BRACKET Installation

9. CONNECT BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR Installation

10. CONNECT NO. 3 RELAY BLOCK Installation

11. INSTALL SKID CONTROL ECU Installation

12. CONNECT NO. 1 MOTOR COOLING PIPE Installation

13. CONNECT FRAME WIRE

(a) Attach the 2 claws of the frame wire to the No. 1 relay block.

(b) Install the frame wire to the No. 1 relay block with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(c) Install the No. 1 relay block cover.

14. CONNECT INLET INVERTER COOLING PIPE

(a) Install the cooling pipe with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

15. CONNECT GENERATOR CABLE Components

16. CONNECT MOTOR CABLE Components

17. INSTALL INVERTER TERMINAL COVER Components

18. INSTALL INVERTER COVER ASSEMBLY RH Components

19. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE COVER RH Components

20. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Components

21. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY RH Installation

22. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH Installation

23. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

25. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP

(a) Install the service plug grip Installation.

26. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

27. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation

28. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Installation

29. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

30. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

31. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation

32. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

33. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
