METER: METER / GAUGE SYSTEM: INITIALIZATION

HINT
* The hybrid system indicator and eco driving indicator light can be deactivated through the customize function.
* When the eco driving indicator light is deactivated, the initial check for the eco driving indicator light is not performed by the system.

1. METHOD TO DISABLE HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR AND ECO DRIVING INDICATOR LIGHT

(a) Select the drive monitor customize setting screen, and then press and hold the DISP switch on the steering pad switch.

(b) Select "HYBRID SYSTEM INDICATOR" from the items displayed, and then press and hold the DISP switch on the steering pad switch.





(c) Select "OFF" from the items displayed, and then press and hold the DISP switch on the steering pad switch to deactivate the hybrid system indicator and eco driving indicator light.





2. COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
As the combination meter assembly changes the layout of the display based on vehicle communication information, it is necessary to perform initialization after the combination meter assembly has been replaced with a new one.

(a) After replacing the combination meter assembly with a new one, connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal and turn the power switch on (IG).





HINT
As the layout of the display is not defined the first time the power switch is turned on (IG) after replacing the combination meter assembly with a new one, the display will be in the uninitialized state.

(b) Check that the layout of the display is in the uninitialized state.

(c) Turn the power switch off, and then leave the vehicle for 5 minutes or more with all the doors closed so that the meter ECU enters sleep mode.

HINT
Perform this procedure with the doors unlocked.

(d) Turn the power switch on (IG) and check that the normal meter layout is displayed.





HINT
If the display is still in the uninitialized state, it may be because the meter ECU did not enter sleep mode. In this case, check that there are no malfunctions in any of the ECUs that communicate with the combination meter, and then perform the initialization procedure again.
