REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

NOTICE: After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

5. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:

6. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
a. Check that the power switch is off.
b. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.







c. Push and pull the connector lock lever to release the connector lock as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE: When disconnecting airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

d. Remove the 3 bolts and center airbag sensor assembly.
