Outside Rear View Mirror Glass

REMOVAL







1. Remove the mirror glass.
1 Position the mirror glass to obtain a gap at the outside edge of the mirror.
2 Carefully pry the outside edge of the glass away from the mirror housing.

WARNING: PLACE A SHOP TOWEL BETWEEN THE MIRROR GLASS AND THE HAND TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY IN THE INSTANCE OF GLASS BREAKAGE.

NOTE: The mirror glass and the motor must be replaced if either component is inoperative.







2. Disconnect the heated mirror electrical connectors.







3. Remove the power mirror motor.
1 Disconnect the motor electrical connectors.
2 Remove the screws.
3 Remove the motor.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When installing, remove the insulator from the old mirror glass and transfer it to the new glass.
