Torque

Cylinder Heads

Tighten the RH bolts in three stages, in the sequence shown.
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
^ Stage 3: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.





Tighten the LH bolts in three stages, in the sequence shown.
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
^ Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
^ Stage 3: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.





Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts
Tighten in sequence to 10 Nm (89 in/lb).

Camshaft Sprocket





Install the special tool.





Tighten the exhaust camshaft sprocket and the intake camshaft bolt washer and spacer in two stages:
^ Stage 1: Tighten to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
^ Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
Remove the special tool.

Upper Intake Manifold





Install the upper intake manifold:
^ Install the bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) and then an additional 90 degrees in the sequence shown.

Lower Intake Manifold





NOTE: Bolts should be hand-started, positions 7-12 first then 1-6.

Install the lower intake manifold:
^ Position the gaskets.
^ Install the intake manifold.
^ Install the bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) and then an additional 90 degrees in the sequence shown.

Throttle Body
Throttle Body Bolts: 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).





LH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten in sequence to 23-27 Nm (17-19 lb/ft).





RH Exhaust Manifold
Tighten in sequence to 23-27 Nm (17-19 lb/ft).
