Normal Operation
Under normal operation the memory set switch receives ground from circuits 1205 (BK) and 1203 (BK/LB). Once the driver seat module (DSM) receives input from the memory set button circuit 270 (BR/OG) the DSM will save current mirror settings using the inputs from the exterior mirrors. When the DSM receives input from the memory set switch button 1, circuit 267 (BR/LG) or button 2, circuit 268 (BK/OG) the DSM will adjust the mirrors accordingly.
The DSM receives input on the position of the LH exterior mirror from circuits 951 (DB/WH), 891 (GY/RD), 949 (RD/WH) and 894 (GY) and from the RH exterior mirror from circuits 954 (DG/WH), 957 (PK/WH), 891 (GY/RD) and 894 (GY).
Possible Causes
- An open, short to voltage or short to ground in circuits: 267 (BR/LG), 268 (BK/OG), 270 (BR/OG), 272 (WH/OG), 951 (DB/WH), 891 (GY/RD), 949 (RD/WH), 954 (DG/WH), 894 (GY) or 957 (PK/WH).
- Open in circuits 1205 (BK) and 1203 (BK/LB).
- Faulty DSM.
- Inoperative memory set switch.
