Removal and Installation

ROOF OPENING PANEL

REMOVAL












1. Remove the components in the order listed in the table and illustration. To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.

Item 1: Roof Opening Panel Glass Screws Removal Note
1. The roof opening panel glass must be in the vent position to carry out this step.

Item 3: Roof Opening Panel Motor Removal Note
1. Be sure the motor is in the closed position before carrying out this step.
2. Remove the overhead console.

Item 6: Roof Opening Panel Shield Removal Note







1. Remove the roof opening panel water channel.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Remove the water channel.







2. Slide the roof opening panel shield halfway forward.







3. Disengage the roof opening panel shield spring-loaded guide feet.
1 Push the roof opening panel shield toward one side of the vehicle.
2 Lift the front portion of the roof opening panel shield upward to disengage the guide feet.







4. Slide the roof opening panel shield forward and release the rear guide feet.

Item 7: Roof Opening Panel Front Drain Hose Removal Note
1. Remove the headliner.

Item 8: Roof Opening Panel Rear Drain Hose Removal Note







1. NOTE: LH side is shown. RH side is similar.

Remove the rear mounting bracket screws and disconnect the roof opening panel rear drain hoses.

Item 10: Roof Opening Panel Frame Removal Note

CAUTION: To avoid damage to the roof opening panel frame, be sure to support the frame when removing the mounting bolts.







1. Remove the overhead console bracket.
- Remove the screws and remove the bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Item 8: Roof Opening Panel Rear Drain Hose Installation Note
1. Be sure the hoses are not kinked.

Item 7: Roof Opening Panel Front Drain Hose Installation Note
1. Be sure the hoses are not kinked.

Item 6: Roof Opening Panel Shield Installation Note
1. Before installing the shield, be sure the roof opening panel water channel is seated on the locking clips. The LH water channel screw must be installed first.
