PINPOINT TEST L: ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMPS IS INOPERATIVETest L1-L3:
Test L4:
Normal Operation
The multifunction switch provides power to the turn signal lamps depending on the position of the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is placed in the RH turn position, current flows from the electronic turn signal flasher to the RF turn signal and right signal mirror bulb through circuit 2 (WH/LB). When the multifunction switch is placed into the LH turn position current flows from the electronic turn signal flasher to the LF turn signal and left signal minor bulb through circuit 3 (LG/WH). Circuit grounds for the electronic flasher and each turn signal bulb are accomplished through grounding circuit 1205 (BK). The timed on/off cycle is determined in the electronic turn signal flasher and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute if both the front and rear indicators operate If only one turn signal lamp operates, the electronic turn signal flasher will flash approximately 160 times per minute.
Possible Causes
- Circuit 2 (WH/LB) open.
- Circuit 3 (LG/WH) open.
- Circuit 1205 (BK) open.
- Multifunction switch.
