Upgrading Vnr Software

UPGRADING VNR SOFTWARE

To perform a VNR software upgrade, the following steps must be taken:
1. Install a new database CD (which may contain a software upgrade) into the CD slot of the head unit with power on (Rn/Acc or Ign).
2. If the VNR system recognizes a different level of software on the CD than what is currently on the system, it will prompt the user to confirm whether they would like to do a software upgrade. When the Updating System Software screen is displayed, press the YES softkey to accept the software update.
3. DO NOT REMOVE POWER FROM THE VNR DURING THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE! The VNR will perform a unit reset, upgrade the software, and perform a second unit reset upon completion. When the VNR returns to normal mode, the software upgrade is complete.
