Radio/Stereo: Service and Repair

When installing radio, be sure to adjust antenna trimmer for peak performance.

1982---87 CONTINENTAL & 1984---88 MARK VII

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove center instrument panel trim panel.
3. Remove four radio and mounting bracket to instrument panel retaining screws.
4. Push radio towards the front of vehicle and raise back end slightly so rear support bracket clears clip in instrument panel and carefully pull out radio.
5. Disconnect radio wiring and remove radio.
6. Remove rear support bracket.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
