Test 14, Wiring Harness Ground Circuit

Procedure
1. Disconnect module three wire connector, inspect connector for dirt and corrosion.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter, connect one lead to engine ground. Connect other lead to wiring harness terminal which mates with black module wire terminal. Measure resistance.

Note: When measuring resistances, wiggle wires to simulate any open circuits that might exist.

3. If resistance is less than one ohm, inspect wiring harness connector and module black wire. If no problem is found, it is either intermittent or not in ignition system.
4. If resistance is greater than one ohm, inspect and repair wiring harness between ignition module and ground connection.
