Test 4, Ignition Coil Primary Circuit Switching

Installing ignition diagnostic test adapter:

1. Disconnect ignition module three wire connector and install ignition diagnostic test adapter into wiring circuit, Fig. 2.
2. Connect a suitable test light between coil Tach terminal and engine ground.
3. Turn ignition ``On,'' then while observing test light, touch diagnostic test lead to battery positive terminal. Test light should flash every time lead touches battery.
4. If test light flashes, circuit is satisfactory. If not, Proceed to test 6.
