WHEEL - ALUMINUM - WIRE SPOKE
- OWNER INFORMATION TAG BEING ADDED


LINCOLN-MERCURY 1983 TOWN CAR, MARK VI, CONTINENTAL

During May 1983, a cleaning and maintenance tag will be attached to all wire spoke aluminum wheels.

The tag will read as follows:

"Your new vehicle is equipped with highly polished aluminum spoke wheels protected with a clear coating."

CAUTION: DO NOT USE ALUMINUM CLEANERS OR OTHER CLEANERS THAT CONTAIN ACID AND/OR ABRASIVES. THEY WILL DESTROY THE CLEAR PROTECTIVE COATING AND ALLOW THE EXPOSED ALUMINUM TO CORRODE. WASH WITH FORD WASH AND WAX CONCENTRATE OR EQUIVALENT, PROPERLY DILUTED, AND RINSE WITH CLEAR, COLD WATER. DO NOT USE STEEL WOOL OR OTHER ABRASIVE CLEANING PADS.

This tag should only be removed by the vehicle owner. It is intended to insure that the owner is aware of what cleaning products and methods to use, to protect the finish of aluminum wheels.
