AIR CONDITIONING - EVAPORATOR CASE - REPLACEMENT SERVICE PARTS - VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO JUNE, 1984

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1984 CONTINENTAL, MARK VII

The current design of the upper and lower evaporator case assemblies are not interchangeable with the old style cases used in the vehicles built prior to June, 1984. The current case assemblies are held together with screws which attach to bosses added to the upper case. The old style case assemblies used clip pads to hold the cases together. If replacement of the old style case assemblies (held together with clip pads) is required, both the upper and lower case assemblies must be replaced with the current design.
