Connecting Rod: Service and Repair

Pistons are supplied by three different manufacturers, Alcan-Nural, KS and Mahle. Both standard size and oversize pistons are available, however, pistons can be replaced only in sets of six. Numbers on connecting rod and bearing cap must be on same side when installing piston. Install piston with arrow facing toward front of engine.
