The upper outboard corners of the cowl top inner panel may contact the windshield causing cracks.

Remove the broken windshield, and, prior to installing a new windshield, caulk (beat with a hammer) the outboard corners of the cowl to the rear and downward approximately 1/4" as shown in Figure 12.
