WINDNOISE - BUZZING SOUND AROUND REAR DOORS - SHED LIP CRACKING

LINCOLN-MERCURY 1985-86 LINCOLN TOWN CAR

On some 1985 and 1986 Lincoln Town Cars, the shed lip seal was cracked during assembly. The cracked seal can result in a buzzing type windnoise sound when the car is driven.

To correct this condition, remove the rear door drip moulding from the vehicle and replace the shed lip seal with a new part made from improved material. See Figure 4.
