ISSUE: When the driver's door is opened, the Electronic Instrument Cluster will display a "metric" reading as it goes through its proveout sequence. The cluster will switch to the "English" mode when the ignition key is switched to the run position.

ACTION: This is a normal condition and does not require the replacement of the message center or the compass thermometer.
