The seat sensor switch can be inadvertantly activated when the driver exits the vehicle with the ignition switch in the "On" or "Run" position, resulting in the customer being locked out of the vehicle. This can occur when the driver places excessive pressure on the seat cushion perimeter when exiting the vehicle.

New seat sensor switches have been released that will eliminate this lock out condition. See Figures 4 and 5.
NOTE: The new switches should be used as a service replacement for any malfunction of the seat sensor switch.
