ISSUE: The 1986 and 1987 Car Shop Manuals, Volume D, Section 21-21-22 tells the technician to remove the transmission assembly to service the oil pan. This is an incorrect statement.


ACTION: Please revise your 1986 and 1987 Car Shop Manuals, Volume D, Section 21- 21-22 to show that the removal of the transmission assembly when servicing the oil pan is not required.
