System Operation
The front and rear suspension system incorporate MacPherson type strut assemblies with integral air springs and two stage (dual) dampening mechanisms. The two stage dampening is achieved by varying the piston orifice area with an externally mounted electronic rotary actuator. The front struts are mounted to the body through a precision ball bearing and rubber mount system. The ball bearing provides a smooth and durable pivot point for the strut/wheel assembly.
The rear struts incorporate a dual path mount which separates the strut and air spring mounting surfaces to provide for maximum isolation.
