ISSUE: New front and rear door outside handle service kits are now available. It may no longer be necessary to replace the complete door handle assembly.

ACTION: Front or rear door outside handles may be repaired by using either one of the following methods.

^ Installing a new front or rear door outside handle service kit. Refer to the following parts block for the correct parts usage.

^ Replacing the outside door handles only. Refer to the appropriate model year Continental Shop Manual, Section 44-16 for service details.

NOTE: THIS METHOD IS USED WHEN ONLY THE OUTSIDE HANDLE ITSELF IS DAMAGED AND THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THE HANDLE'S INTERNAL WORKING PARTS.
