AM Static & Weak Reception - Mark VII

1. AM static - on strong stations, poor reception, fading under bridges and overpasses.

Perform the following checks to verify the noise cause.

1. Tune to a weak AM radio station.

2. Note the reception performance on this station.

3. Continue listening to this station while performing the following steps.

4. Note if there is any change in reception when the connection is moved, rotated, wiggled, or otherwise disturbed. If so, the connection is defective.

5. Replace the ENTIRE antenna cable with a one-piece antenna cable kit (F1VY-18812-A).
