Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Service and Repair

When installing radio, ensure to adjust antenna trimmer for peak performance.

1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect battery ground able.
3. Remove radio plate to instrument panel retaining screws.
4. Pull radio rearward until the rear support bracket is clear of instrument panel.
5. Disconnect radio wiring and antenna lead. Remove radio.
6. Remove screws securing front bracket to radio and remove, remove rear support bracket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Rearm airbag as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
