SHEET METAL - HOODS - SERVICE REPLACEMENTS - "WELDING BURN-THROUGH HOLES"


LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1986-89 TOWN CAR


ISSUE: Service replacement hoods may be damaged along the left or right fender side edges. The damage appears as welding burn-through holes or surface burn spots similar to welding burn-throughs.


ACTION: Inspect service stock for welding burn-through hole damage. Return any such damaged hoods in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Warranty and Policy Manual.
