1st - A service loaner luxury car from the dealership

agency

3rd - A service loaner Grand Marquis from the dealership

4th - Any available FoMoCo Rental unit (Dealer Daily Rental units
should be considered over an independent rental company)
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE GUIDELINES (Continued)

Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis Owners

Service loaners are to be provided to Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis owners if their vehicles require an exchange transmission. Selection of the level of the loaner vehicle is to be based on steps 3 and 4 above except that a Crown Victoria would apply in Step 3 for such owners.

Other Guideline Information

The above guidelines provide for no-charge service loaner car (with the exception of costs for gasoline) for as many days that the vehicle is out of service.

All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and listed on the Rental Agreement. The only exception to the age requirement would be if the underage driver is the registered owner of the vehicle.

Owners may elect to drive their cars. This may happen during the waiting period for the replacement transmission to arrive. Owners making this election must be instructed to use the "D" transmission selector position and to avoid the "0D" selector position.

Dealer Reimbursement for Transportation Assistance

For service loaners provided under steps 1 and 3 - Claim payment under the Lincoln-Mercury and Ford Division Service Loaner Programs.

Remember, when you provide a dealership Town Car, Grand Marquis, or Crown Victoria, request reimbursement from the Lincoln-Mercury or Ford Division Service Loaner Programs.

For service loaners provided under steps 2 and 4 - Claim for reimbursement up to $50 for each day.

Note: Remember reimbursement claims for cars provided from rental companies are to be entered on the same form 1863 as that for the program repair. Enter the word "Rent" in the last labor column, the number of days the vehicle was rented, and the total amount (not to exceed $50 per day).
