Demister and Hose Assemblies
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION1. Remove steering column assembly and instrument panel assembly. See Steering Column and Instrument Panel.
2. Disconnect RH demister hose from Y-pipe extending out of LH side of plenum and LH demister hose from connector on RH side of center duct.
3. Pull RH hose out of its separate retainer in lower edge of defroster (illustration).
4. Pull LH hose out of its separate retainers in the LH A/C duct.
5. Remove retaining screws from RH duct above the RH register and slide duct off register just enough to access RH demister retaining nut.
6. Remove one self threading nut from each demister at the upper corners of the instrument panel and slide the demister and hose assemblies out of the instrument panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the demister and hose assemblies to the instrument panel and install the self-threading nut to attach each demister at the upper corner of the instrument panel.
2. Position the RH duct to the RH register and install the duct retaining screw above the register.
3. Position the LH hose in its separate retainers of the LH A/C duct.
4. Position the RH hose in its separate retainer at the lower edge of the defroster.
5. Connect the RH demister hose to the Y-pipe on the RH side of the plenum. Connect the LH demister hose to the connector on the LH side of the center duct.
6. Install the instrument panel and steering column assemblies. See Steering Column and Instrument Panel.
