Suspension Control ( Automatic - Electronic ): Service and Repair

Air Spring Fill

1. Ensure air suspension service switch is in the ON position.
2. Turn ignition switch to the OFF position.
3. Install battery charger to reduce battery drain.
4. Open access door in the LH luggage compartment trim panel to plug SUPER STAR II tester into air suspension diagnostics wiring harness connector.
5. The SUPER STAR II tester button should be in the HOLD (up) position.
6. With brake pedal depressed, hard turn ignition switch to the RUN position.

7. Depress SUPER STAR II tester button so that it is in the TEST (down) position.





8. At this time the air suspension control module will start sending out the spring fill selection codes to be displayed on the SUPER STAR II tester. These codes will be displayed in a scrolling manner.
9. Select the desired Spring Fill operation by releasing the SUPER STAR II button when the desired code is displayed. As long as the SUPER STAR II tester button is released the desired operation (inflation or deflation) will continue. To stop a selected operation, depress the SUPER STAR II tester button back down to the TEST position. At this time the Spring Fill codes will again be displayed in a scrolling manner.

NOTE: When installing deflated air springs lower hoist as required, but do not apply a load to the suspension until after the air spring has been inflated at least 60 seconds.

10. In order to exit the Spring Fill mode, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and unplug SUPER STAR II tester.
