ISSUE:
Some air bag sensor service parts may have an incorrect connector. The subject part should have a locking groove at the 12 o'clock position and alignment grooves at the 4 and 9 o'clock positions. Suspect stock has lock and alignment groove at the 9 o'clock position.
ACTION:
Remove the obsolete parts from your dealership's inventory. Okay stock has work order numbers of 047259, 047800 and 038235, or the unit carton has two black X's stamped on the parts nomenclature panel. All other parts are suspect and should be returned to your facing PDC within thirty (30) days of this TSB.
1. Perform 100% sort of all dealership stock on hand. Okay stock has work order numbers of 047259, 047800 and 038235, or the unit carton has two black X's stamped on the unit carton part nomenclature panel.
2. Suspect stock has a work order number other than 047259, 047800 and 038235, or the unit carton does not have the two black X's stamped on the unit carton part nomenclature panel.
3. Return defective parts to your facing PDC using the least expensive transportation.
4. If claim is processed electronically using DOES II, use return code "GB"; otherwise, complete a separate paper claim form FPS-340 using return code "J".
5. In the "Remarks" section, write "Returned Per TSB 94-1-3".
LIMITS
^ The returns must be received within 30 days from the date of this TSB.
^ Returns are restricted to the subject part.
^ The parts must have been purchased from FCSD in accordance with Policy And Procedure Bulletin 4000.
CREDIT
Credit for parts and prepaid freight costs will be issued.
