Replace or install new Daytime Running Lights Module (DRL) using the following steps:

1. Locate connector to the DRL System on the outside of the left hand apron, directly below the battery (Figure 1).

2. Pull the connector from the side of the apron and remove the jumper plug from the connector. (If a DRL Module is already installed, remove the connector from the DRL Module, and unscrew the DRL Module from the apron. Mutilate and scrap this DRL Module.)

3. Slip the 2 screws and retainers from kit into the keyhole slots provided, if required.

4. Install the DRL Module (as illustrated in Figure 1) over the screws into mounting position.

5. Attach DRL Module securely.

6. Attach the connector to the DRL Module.

7. Verify the DRL System is working properly. The high beam lamps should have a reduced intensity whenever the ignition switch is in the "RUN" position, the Parking Brake is fully released, and the normal Headlamp System is "OFF" (using either the headlamp switch or the Auto-Lamp feature).

High Beam Indicator

1. The High Beam Warning Light should not be "ON" when in the DRL Mode.

2. In the Flash-To-Pass Mode, the High Beam Warning Light will:

^ come "ON" during Daytime conditions (when vehicle front and rear exterior lights off).

^ not come "ON" during nighttime conditions (when vehicle front and rear exterior lights are on).
