Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Disconnect power lead electrical connector from wiper motor.
4. Remove lefthand windshield wiper arm.
5. Remove linkage retaining clip from arm on motor by lifting locking tab up and pulling clip away from pin.
6. Remove motor and bracket assembly attaching bolts, then the motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque motor attaching bolts to 60-85 inch lbs. Rearm airbag as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
